SUNSET PALMS

¡Y continuamos con los nail art veraniegos! Esta vez con una vista al atardecer y las palmeras de la playa :)

And we continue with the summer nail art! This time with a breathtaking look at the sunset and the palms at the beach :)

Empieza pintando tus uñas con dos capas blancas como base.

Start by painting your nails with two coats of white.

Luego, toma una esponja y pintala con los colores del atardecer. Yo escogí amarillo, naranja y rosa.

Then, take a sponge and paint it with sunset colors. I chose yellow, orange and pink.

Pinta todas tus uñas con la esponja y espera a que sequen.

Paint all your nails with the sponge and wait for them to dry.

Luego, con un pincel delgado pinta las palmeras con pintura negra.

Then, with a narrow brush, paint the palms with black polish.

Pintalas en todas tus uñas y ¡listo! :))

Paint the on all your nails and it's all set! :)

HARRY POTTER

¡TODOS A BORDO! Como todos saben (y si no se recordaban, les recuerdo) hoy, 1 de Septiembre ¡sale el expreso de Hogwarts de la Estación de King's Cross! Justamente hoy comienza el año escolar para todos los alumnos de la escuela más famosas de magia y hechicería y, ¿qué mejor manera de celebrar la fecha que con un nail art de nuestro mago favorito? Aquí el cómo hacerlo :)

ALL ABOARD! As you all know (and if you don't remember, I remind you) today, September the 1st., the Hogwarts' Express leaves King's Cross station! Today begins the school year for the students of the most famous witchcraft and wizardry school and, what better way to celebrate the date than with a nail art inspired on our beloved wizard. Here's how to do it :)

Empezamos con nuestros colores base que son piel, amarillo, escarlata y blanco.

Let's start with our base colors, which are peach, yellow, scarlet and white.

En las uñas amarillas aplicamos cinta para nail art y vamos pintando una linea escarlata, intercalando con las amarillas para crear el diseño de Gryffindor.

Apply nail art tape on the yellow nails and paint every other space scarlet to create the Gryffindor design.

En la uña blanca vamos a dibujar el símbolo de las Reliquias de la Muerte, el cual consiste en un triángulo, una línea recta que lo divide en dos y un círculo en el centro.

On the white nail we'll draw the Deathly Hallows symbols, which consists of a triangle, a straight line dividing it in two and a circle on the center.

¡Vamos a dibujar un Harry en la uña color piel! Y para esto debemos empezar con su emblemático pelo negro despeinado, el cual haremos pintando la parte pegada a la cutícula de negro y luego trazando lineas negras simulando sus mechones.

We'll draw a Harry on the peach colored nail! We'll start with his emblematic unruly black hair by painting the cuticule part of the nail black and then drawing black lines to simulate his locks.

Para los detalles de Harry dibujaremos su cicatriz en forma de rayo utilizando un puntero y pintura roja. Luego haremos sus lentes dibujando medios círculos a ambos lados de nuestra uña y uniéndolos con una pequeña curva. Para terminar, pintaremos dos puntitos verdes que serán sus ojos :)

For Harry's details we'll draw his lightning scar using our pointer and red nail polish. Next we'll make his glasses by drawing two black semi circles and bringing them together with a little curve. Then we'll paint two little green dots which will be his eyes :)

La última uña será el número de la plataforma de la estación de King's Cross, la famosa "9 3/4". Pintaremos un círculo blanco en el centro de la uña escarlata (no importa si no es perfecto ya que luego lo rapasaremos con negro). Para terminar escribiremos el 9 3/4 a mano alzada (el cual tampoco tiene que ser perfecto :) ).

The last nail will be the one with King's Cross platform, the famous "9 3/4". We'll draw a white circle on the middle of the scarlet nail (it doesn't matter if it isn't perfect because we'll outline it with black anyway). To finish we'll write 9 3/4 freehand (which doesn't have to be perfect either :) ).

DOTS AND LINES: EASY ROSES

¡Perdón por la espera! A pesar de lo mucho que me encanta crear nail arts hay semanas que no me alcanza el tiempo, pero para compesar por mi desaparición, el día de hoy les traigo dos nail art distintos, ambos utilizado solamente la brocha de sus pintauñas y un lapiz o palillo.

Sorry for the waiting! Although I love creating nail art there are weeks when I don't seem to find enough time, but to compensate, today I'll show you how to do two different nail designs, both using just the brush of you nail polish and pencil or toothpick.

EASY ROSES

Éste es el look más sencillo y femenino que he posteado últimamente, pero no por que sea simple significa que no se vea muy cool. Es simplemente pintar las uñas de un color pastel y la uña anular blanca para dibujar unas rosas a base de un punto grande y líneas rosa claro y verde.

This is the most simple and feminine look I've posted lately, but for it being simple doesn't mean that's not very cool.  You just need to paint your nails a pastel color and your ring finger nail white to draw roses, which are a big red dot and some pink and green lines.

Luego de tener nuestros colores base, en nuestra uña blanca pintamos puntos grandes de color rojo utilizando la brocha del pintauñas. (No importa si no son círculos perfectos ya que ésta será la base de nuestra rosa)

After applying our base colors, paint some big red dots on our white nail using the nail polish brush. (It doesn't matter if they're not perfect circles because these will be the base of the roses)

Utilizando la punta de un lápiz o un palillo, toma una pequeña cantidad de pintura rosa y pinta pequeñas curvas y puntitos sobre nuestro gran punto rojo para simular los pétalos de la rosa.

Using the tip of a pencil or a toothpick take a small amount of pink polish and draw little curves and dots over out big red dot to simulate the rose's petals.

De la misma manera, pero utilizando verde, dibuja las hojitas de la rosa trazando líneas verdes a la par del círculo rojo.

In the same way, but using green, make the rose's leaves by drawing green lines beside the red dot.

Et voilá! Un nail art súper simple y súper femenino :) espero les haya gustado y lo prueben también ustedes!

EASIEST FLOWERS

Esta es la manicura más sencilla que me he hecho, bueno, a pesar de los pétalos de las flores, pero es una de las que más me ha gustado. No se requiere ninguna capa base ni muchos detalles, simplemente dibujar pequeñas florecitas sobre la uña natural y cubrirlo todo con una capa de brillo o brillo mate para proteger nuestro trabajo.

This is the easiest manicure I've ever done, well, in spite of the flower's petals, and it is one of my favorites. You don't have to apply any base coat or much details, you just have to draw little flowers on the natural nail and apply a clear or matte top coat to protect your work.

Empecé dibujando primero un punto y luego otro un poco más arriba para crear un pétalo. Luego continué de la misma manera hasta dibujar 5 pétalos para cada flor.

I started by drawing a dot and then drawing another one a little bit higher to create a petal. Then I continued in the same way until I had 5 petals for each flower.

Continué dibujando más flores alternando los tres colores que utilicé hasta que obtuve algo así.

I continued drawing more flowers alterning the three color I used until I had something like this.

Seguí dibujando más flores de colores por todas mis uñas y ¡este es el resultado! Lindo, ¿no? :)

I kept on drawing more flowers on all my nails and this is the result! Pretty, huh? :)

CELEBRITY NAILS

El día de hoy vi un post en la página de VH1 que llamó muchísimo mi atención ya que trataba de las manicuras más caras que las celebridades se han hecho. Los precios me asombraron ya que habían mujeres que pagaron desde $300 hasta UN MILLÓN DE DÓLARES por una manicura que, en mi opinión, cualquiera de nosotras podemos hacer :) así que me tomé la tarea de recrear la manicura que más me gustó de este post, para que todas tengamos la oportunidad de lucir un nail art de $300 como el que Zooey Deschanel lució en los Emmys de 2012. ¡Mucha suerte y paciencia! Today I saw a post on VH1's page that really called my attention because it featured the most expensive manicures celebrities have gotten. The prices shocked me because there were women who paid from $300 to ONE MILLION DOLLARS for a manicure that, in my humble opinion, any of us can do :) so I took the task to recreate my favorite manicure from this post so we have the chance to wear a $300 nail art like the one Zooey Deschanel wore for the 2012 Emmy Awards. Empecé con una capa base color Bikini Pink de Santee

I started with a Bikini Pink base coat from Santee

Para la televisión utilicé mi nail art pen para dibujar un rectángulo con esquinas curveadas. Luego dibujé las antenas y las patas del televisor, y por último lo rellené todo con pintauñas negro.

For the TV I used my nail art pen to draw a rectangle with rounded corners. Then I drew the antenae and the TV's bases and then filled it up with black nail polish.

Luego dibujé un cuadrado blanco dentro del televisor y con un puntero dibujé los botones. Luego, al secarse la pintura blanca, apliqué pintauñas dorado.

Then I drew a white square inside the TV and with a pointer I made the buttons. Then, when the white polish was dry, I applied some golden nail polish on top.

Utilicé el mismo pintauñas dorado, Kleancolor 196 Top of the World, y, con ayuda del método de la esponja que les enseñé en varios post anteriores, apliqué detalles dorados en todas mis uñas.

Then I used the same golden nail polish, Kleancolor 196 Top of the World, and, with the sponge method I showed you on a previous post, I applied some golden details all over my other nails.

¡Estos son los resultados! Me gustaron mucho, y si son adictas a la televisión como yo tendrán el look perfecto para ver su película o serie favoritas :) las invito a que las prueben y me enseñen sus manicuras caseras de $300.

COLOR LINES

¡LAS LÍNEAS ESTÁN DE VUELTA! Nada se ve mejor en unas uñas que un diseño con lineas y varios colores contrastantes. Es por eso que en este nuevo tutorial les quiero dar una idea de cómo decorar sus uñas con delgadas líneas en varias direcciones.

LINES ARE BACK! Nothing looks better on nails than a line design with various contrasting color. That's why I want to give you an idea on how to decorate them with a bunch of colorful lines in different directions.

Empecé con una capa base tono 26 de la marca Vov.

I started with a base coat of Vov color 26.

Luego utilicé mis nail art pen y pintauñas para nail art para trazar las líneas negras, rosadas y lilas hasta que obtuve este diseño.

Then I used my nail art pen and nail art lacquer to draw the black, pink and lilac lines until I obtained this design.

OLDIES BUT GOLDIES - SEASONAL

¡Hola a todos! Bueno, este es el primer post de mi blog de uñas y ¿qué mejor que un vistazo a algunos de mis nail art/diseño de uñas anteriores?

Hello everyone! Ok, so this is the first post on my nail blog and, what better than a look at some of my previous nail art/designs?

Estas son un par de uñas temáticas que me hice para los cumpleaños de mis sobrinos. Las primeras con un tema de Minnie y Mickey Mouse y las segundas de Angry Birds.

These are some theme nails I created for my niece and nephew birthday parties. The first are Mickey and Minnie Mouse theme and the second are Angry Birds.

¡Y claro que no podía faltar las navideñas! Las primeras son pequeños Santas en la uña del dedo pulgar y un diseño de nieve/sueter navideño en las demás.

Las segundas son un poco más sencillas, con un gorrito navideño en la uña del dedo pulgar y un color "nude" en el resto.

And of course I couldn't miss some holiday ones! The first are a small Santa on my thumb nails and a snowy/Christmas-sweather design.
The second are a little simpler, with a Santa Claus hat on the thum nail and nude color on the rest.
