#31DC2014 : Black and White

Today's the black and white day in our 31 day challenge, so I tried to continue with yesterday's vibe and keep trying with techniques that I still haven't tried. Today I did this tutorial with the straw technique, in which you use a plastic straw to blow the polish on your nail and obtain a ver modern design like the one in Jackson Pollock's paintings.

Empecé pintando algunas uñas negras y otras blancos. No importa el orden.
I started painting some nail white and some black. The order doesn't matter.

Then, in a little piece of paper, put several drops of white nail polish until you have a little puddle with a bigger diameter than the straw's. Then start dipping the straw on the puddle until a thin layer of polish is covering the end of the straw.
Now comes the fun (and tiring!) part of the nail art :) first, apply some liquid glue around your nail and put paper to cover up your work area because there's gonna be paint everywhere! Then put the straw with white nail polish above one of your black nails and blow hard. The paint will come out of the straw and start creating your Pollock look. Don't worry if doesn't work at the first try. I had to do it several times until the polish stated coming out right.

Repeat the same proceure with the black nail polish on your white nails.

Aplica brillo y ¡listo!
Apply some clear top coat and you're all set! A modern art nail art that looks just like the original (just a few thousands of dollars cheaper) :)
